Our Trip Part One

Some of the pictures or on Josh's computer and some are one mine so we'll do this in stages. Our trip was amazing! We moved into our new place and pretty much the next day we left for New York. I think that it is pretty safe to say that this was the most unplanned spontaneous trip we've ever done, which is not always like us because Josh is a major planner and we usually have things well planned but the spontinuity made it so much fun!

Our first stop was to Hershey Pennsylvania to the Hershey factory. It was a lot of fun to go through and see how everything is all made. We rode around in a little cart type thing on a fake ground that was to give the allusion that we were in a boat going through chocolate syrup. We learned step by step from how and where they got the cocoa beans to the finishing product of the chocolate bar in the wrapper. It was so cool to see and it is also the best smelling tour I’ve ever taken too!

We finally made it to New York on Sunday night after getting lost for an hour. It was so good to see him and his family. Paige and her cousin Owen hit if off great and their oldest son and Josh did great playing legos together. My sister-in-law took Paige the next day so Josh and I could go into the city; we took Max and went all over. We spent a lot of time in Time Square and Central Park. We went to Rockefeller Center and out to eat with my brother to this really nice restaurant for Buffalo burgers. The next day we all went into the city and went all over again. We went to ground zero and looked at the construction that is going on there and the memorial that they have there. We went down to the port to go to Liberty Island but all the tickets were all sold out, so we just played around the port a bit.

The kids got to play in a water park that was at the port! It felt so good to sit down!
You can see a very small Lady Liberty over my right shoulder. I'd been there before but Josh had never so I felt bad that he didn'y get to go. Next time!
